THE GOOD: Run game. Seeing Justin Jackson have holes to run through was a great sight. I honestly thought I may never see it again, but there were some huge holes for the running backs to run through. The offensive line was horrible to start the year, but they answered the bell. Now, all they need to do is keep it up.
THE BAD: Turnovers. Northwestern fumbled twice in the second half. While neither fumbles were from starters, they both were drive killers. Northwestern needs to clean this up because teams in the Big Ten will take advantage of miscues like these.
THE UGLY: Defensive line. The defensive had trouble stopping the run for the third week in a row. Sam Miller looked great, but the rest of the group got pushed around way too easily. Luckily the linebackers, especially Nate Hall, were flying around the field and making plays. The defensive line and needs to step up and hold their ground, or things could get ugly in Big Ten play.
